Katiki Waterfalls
Katiki Waterfalls is named after Katiki, the place where it is located. The waterfall is about 50 ft high and lies around 4 km away from Borra Caves. Katiki Waterfalls originate from the Gosthani River and contains greenery and clear water in its vicinity. Katiki falls is located between Borra Caves-kasalaka railway stations.you can see from the Hills at Tunnel no 44. By train you can go and come back to Borra Guhalu railway stop.From here you should go by walk or Auto for 4 km . Shared Auto Charges Rs:100/-. By Bus - you can reach Borra caves by bus and take a commander jeep(sharing basis) from there. They charge around 250-350 per couple. The travel from Borra caves to the start of trek is very bumpy and you should be prepared to be tossed around in your seat. Not recommended for elderly and toddlers. Camping Campfire and Cooking: The last 15 minutes of the trek upto the base of the waterfall is stiff climbing. Steps are there upto the water fall for safe climbing. You can take bath at the base of the waterfall. Bamboo chicken Marinated chicken is backed by keeping them inside Bamboo trunks and offered to tourist. It is Chicken Kabab but prepared by using bamboo sticks and cooking is done by keeping them inside Bamboo tree trunks.
