Ghanta Ghar

Ghanta Ghar
India     Rajasthan     Jodhpur

Ghanta Ghar or the Clock Tower is a prominent landmark in Jodhpur; it was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh between 1880 and 1911. More of a landmark in the market by the same name, it is more of an architectural delight. Once you are done with a dekko of this, you can check out the vibrant market area for curios, as the entire region is known for selling a wide and fine range of handicrafts, such as Rajasthani sarees and kurtas, bangles, souvenirs, local crafts and much more. Crammed with around 7000 big and small shops, the entire area is a shopaholic’s dream come true. For anyone in the city looking for shopping options, Ghanta Ghar is just the place to be!
