Howrah Bridge

Howrah Bridge is a cantilever bridge with a suspended span over the Hooghly River in West Bengal, India. Commissioned in 1943, the bridge was originally named the New Howrah Bridge, because it replaced a pontoon bridge at the same location linking the two cities of Howrah and Kolkata (Calcutta).

Dowleswaram Barrage

The Dowleswaram Barrage is an irrigation structure which is built on the lower stretch of the Godavari River before it empties into the Bay of Bengal. It was built by a British irrigation engineer, Sir Arthur Thomas Cotton.

Vidyasagar Setu

Vidyasagar Setu also known as the Second Hooghly Bridge is a toll bridge over the Hooghly River in West Bengal, India, linking the cities of Kolkata and Howrah. Vidyasagar Setu is the longest cable stayed bridge in India. It was the second bridge to be built across the Hooghly River; the first, the Howrah Bridge. Named after the educationist reformer Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar.

Jubilee Bridge

The Jubilee Bridge is a former rail bridge over the Hooghly River between Naihati and Bandel in West Bengal, India. It provided an important connection between the Garifa and Hooghly Ghat stations. The Jubilee Bridge was opened on 16 February 1885 in the fiftieth, or jubilee, year of the reign of Queen Victoria. Construction began in 1882 and was completed in 1887.

Pamban Bridge

Pamban Bridge is a railway bridge which connects the town of Rameswaram on Pamban Island to mainland India. The rail bridge is, for the most part, a conventional bridge resting on concrete piers, but has a double-leaf bascule section midway, which can be raised to let ships and barges pass through.

Vivekananda Setu

Vivekananda Setu also called Willingdon Bridge and Bally Bridge is a bridge over the Hooghly River in West Bengal, India. It links the city of Howrah, at Bally, to its twin city of Kolkata, at Dakshineswar. Completed in December 1932, it is a multispan steel bridge and was built to provide road and rail link between the Calcutta Port and its hinterland.

Sampreeti Bridge

Sampreeti Setu is a railway bridge on Hooghly River. This bridge was inaugurated on August 11, 2016. It is situated between the Garifa railway station and Hooghly Ghat railway station in the Naihati-Bandel branch line. This bridge has been built as an alternative to the Jubilee Bridge. The bridge is 415 meters long.

Bandra Worli SeaLink

The Bandra–Worli Sea Link, officially called Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link, is a cable-stayed bridge with pre-stressed concrete-steel viaducts on either side that links Bandra in the Western Suburbs of Mumbai with Worli in South Mumbai. The bridge is a part of the proposed Western Freeway that will link the Western Suburbs to Nariman Point in Mumbai's main business district.

Godavari Arch Bridge

The Godavari Arch Bridge is a bowstring-girder bridge that spans the Godavari river in Rajahmundry, India. It is the latest of the three bridges that span the Godavari river at Rajahmundry.

Nivedita Setu

Nivedita Setu is a cable-stayed bridge over Hooghly River in Kolkata, West Bengal. It runs parallel to and around 50 m downstream of the old Vivekananda Setu opened in 1932. The bridge is named after Sister Nivedita, the social worker-disciple of Swami Vivekananda. Nivedita Setu is the first bridge in the country that is a single profile cable-stayed bridge. By design, the height of the columns are lower than the tip of the Dakshineswar temple.

Patum Bridge

The Patum Bridge is located on the Yomgo River. It is a cable bridge for vehicle transportation and a way for people to easily commute. It is also an important tourist attraction in Aalo as one can have a magnificent view of the entire city from the bridge. At night, the bridge looks beautiful as it gleams with lights. Behind the bridge, an enticing view of the mountains covered with snow is soothing for the eyes.
