Phulwari Sharif is a notified area in Patna in the Indian state of Bihar. The current metro plan of Patna has one route in Phulwari Sharif. The Shahi Sangi Masjid bears relics of the rich architectural past of the region. Built in red sandstone by the Mughal Emperor Humayun, the mosque is one of the main attraction for tourists Muslims. Near the mosque there is a shrine [Tomb] of Khwaja Emaduddin Qalandar Rahmatullah Alaih. It is known as Lal Miyan ki Dargah. Phulwari Sharif is well connected to other cities of India through rail-road network. Phulwari Sharif is located on NH 98 on the Khagaul road in Patna.The road condition on NH 98 is pathetic to say the least, and has not been repaired since 40 years. sadly the NH98 road always remain jam from KHAGAUL to ANISABAD bypass more, due to heavy vehicles as trucks and buses and causing a lot of accidents. Phulwari Sharif railway station connects the city to different part of the country through many passenger and express trains. The small town of Phulwari Sharif has turned into a prominent city and a notified area of the Patna. Under the plan of Greater Patna it will also come under Patna Municipal Corporation. The city constitutes majority of the Muslim population.
